Lauren Sternberg is both an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L). A rare skill-set that renders uniquely educated and strategic solutions to breastfeeding, prenatal, postnatal and pediatric obstacles. With her calm, compassionate and gentle approach, Lauren provides exceptional in-home and virtual care to parents seeking guidance and assistance with breastfeeding, pediatric care and maternal mental health. Lauren is extremely passionate about her work, the care she provides and the relationships she develops with parents and their babies.

Lauren was trained by highly experienced lactation consultants, who used a wide range of stylistic practices, at UCLA’s The Birth Place in Santa Monica. After accumulating over 300 hours of hands-on experience, Lauren founded her private practice. Since 2012, Lauren has worked at UCLA Resnick Hospital in Westwood where she provides occupational therapy treatment to mental health patients.

Prior to her time at UCLA, Lauren worked as a pediatric occupational therapist where she worked with babies and children in a variety of areas- feeding/oral motor, developmental delays, sensory motor disorders, neuromuscular disorders, Autism and many other areas.

Outside of work, Lauren spends her time in her garden, hiking, traveling, and enjoying time with her friends and family.
